The Ogun State Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) was developed as part of the World Bank-funded OGSTEP project (Ogun State Economic Transformation Project). It aims to support data-driven decision-making and planning by enabling the sharing and integration of spatial data across government ministries, departments, and agencies in Ogun State.
The SDI provides a centralized platform for accessing, managing, and visualizing geospatial information related to land use, infrastructure, environmental resources, and more. It fosters coordination among stakeholders, reduces data duplication, and enhances transparency and efficiency in public service delivery.
This system is administered and maintained by the Bureau of Information Technology (BIT), which is responsible for ensuring its continued development, accessibility, and alignment with government needs. The Ogun SDI serves as a foundational component in the state's digital transformation and evidence-based governance efforts.
